    I’ve worked with Ben and Do What You Can’t for six months now. I have been so thankful for the knowledge and time that Ben spends on my program!

    When I initially contacted Ben, he reached out the same day about getting a plan going. I was interested in a plan that was tailored specifically to me so that I could reach my own personalized fitness goals – my first goals being to lose 20 lb of fat. Ben and I chatted via FaceTime for about an hour over my past nutrition and exercise history. We discussed goals, length of goals, daily routine, and any prior injuries. From there, he put a plan together for nutrition and exercise. Ben continues to be very attentive to progress, and is very conscientious into making incremental tweaks when my body has hit a plateau during the program.

    We had only been working together for about a month when COVID-19 shut down all the gyms in my area. Ben had been making my program a combination of cardio and strength training, but seeing as I don’t have a home gym, he quickly had to make a quick pivot to body weight home circuits and cardio for my new normal. While the gym shutdown was disappointing, I am happy to say that it hasn’t inhibited my progress. I’ve actually exceeded my weight lost goal without the gym! My weight loss did not happen easily though. It started off slowly, but Ben was very in-tune with my nutrition, and advised small nutritional changes to shift myself out of the several plateaus that I experienced. My weight actually came off quicker the longer that Ben worked to dial in on what my body reacted to the most. I can also attest to the endurance work that he has set up for me over the past six months. To make lemonade out of lemons, he has programmed workouts that have made me the fastest I have ever been. My mile times continue to go down and my heart rate recovery continues to improve. As someone who enjoys endurance work, this has been so rewarding to me! While most of my summer races have been cancelled, I’ve been happy with the progress made while working with Ben. He has exceeded my expectations as to what this program would be. He provides daily communication, uses an easy app to upload workouts, and is always an open door if you have any questions/concerns.
